About the X-Mind Prime 2D
The X-Mind Prime 2D is the panoramic configuration of ACTEON's X-Mind Prime platform. Buy it as a straight panoramic or add the cephalometric arm for orthodontic imaging — and because it shares its gantry with the X-Mind Prime CBCT, the unit can be upgraded to 3D later without starting over on hardware, software, or training. The 2D program set is deeper than most panoramic units in its class: adult and child panoramic, TMJ open and closed lateral views, maxillary sinus P-A, half panoramic left or right, a low-dose panoramic, frontal dentition, Ortho Rad panoramic, and left, right, or double bitewing programs. That range lets you match the exposure to the diagnostic question instead of defaulting to a full pan every time. The pan detector is a CCD with a 48 µm pixel (96 µm binned 2×2); the optional ceph arm uses a CMOS flat panel with a CsI scintillator at 99 µm. Imaging runs in AIS — the Acteon Imaging Suite — with an optional implant add-in, and Dental TI integrates it with the imaging software your practice already uses.

X-Mind Prime 2D questions, answered
Can the X-Mind Prime 2D be upgraded to CBCT later?
Yes. The X-Mind Prime 2D shares its platform with the X-Mind Prime CBCT, so it can be upgraded to 3D later without replacing the unit. That makes it a practical starting point for practices that want good 2D now and expect to add implant or endo imaging down the road.
Does the X-Mind Prime 2D take bitewings?
Yes. Its program set includes left, right, and double extraoral bitewing programs, along with adult and child panoramic, TMJ open and closed lateral views, maxillary sinus P-A, half panoramic, low-dose panoramic, frontal dentition, and Ortho Rad panoramic.
Can I add cephalometric imaging to the X-Mind Prime 2D?
Yes. It is available as panoramic only or panoramic with a cephalometric arm. The ceph arm uses a CMOS flat panel detector with a CsI scintillator at a 99 µm pixel size, running at 60–86 kV.
What software does the X-Mind Prime 2D use, and will it work with my current imaging setup?
Imaging runs in AIS, the Acteon Imaging Suite, with an optional implant add-in. Dental TI handles integration with the practice management and imaging software you already use as part of every installation.
What is included when I buy the X-Mind Prime 2D from Dental TI?
Every panoramic purchase from Dental TI includes site planning and installation, integration with your imaging software, remote team training (on-site available), and expert remote and on-site support. Financing is available. Dental TI has served dentistry since 2003 from Carmel, Indiana.
