About the Evolve 2D (PAN)
The Evolve 2D is the panoramic-only configuration of PreXion's Evolve platform. It uses the same gantry as the full CBCT system, which means the upgrade to 3D happens in the field — on the unit already installed in your practice — rather than through a trade-in and reinstallation. For a practice that wants dependable panoramic imaging now and expects implant, endodontic, or airway imaging in its future, that is the most conservative way to buy. On the imaging side, 41-slice multislice navigation lets you page through the panoramic volume instead of reading a single flattened layer, and the Evolve Smart Contrast algorithm adjusts contrast per anatomical area so dense and fine structures both stay readable in one image. Enhanced filters give you further control at review time. An optional cephalometric arm adds orthodontic imaging with both hard and soft tissue rendering. As with every unit Dental TI installs, we handle site planning, integration with your imaging software, training, and expert support.

What is multislice navigation on a panoramic image?
Instead of a single flattened panoramic layer, the Evolve 2D captures 41 slices you can page through. If a root apex or contact point sits slightly outside the standard focal layer, you scroll to the slice where it is sharp rather than retaking the image.
What does Evolve Smart Contrast do?
It is a contrast algorithm that adjusts per anatomical area within the image, so dense structures like bone and subtle ones like fine trabecular detail both stay readable in the same panoramic — less window-and-level work at review time, supported by additional enhanced filters.
Is cephalometric imaging available on the Evolve 2D?
Yes, as an optional cephalometric arm that renders both hard and soft tissue, which covers routine orthodontic analysis and soft-tissue profile assessment.
