About the Veraviewepocs 2D

Veraviewepocs 2D delivers crystal-clear panoramic and cephalometric images at low effective dose, and can be upgraded to 3D later. For practices that need excellent extraoral imaging without a full 3D system, it is the unit Dental TI recommends first — and installs, integrates, and supports. Operation is fully automatic. Digital Direct Auto Exposure (DDAE) reads the patient in real time and sets exposure accordingly, while the Auto Image Enhancer (AIE) optimizes every image after capture. AF Automatic Positioning uses a triple-laser light-beam sensor to position the C-arm without moving the patient, so staff spend less time repositioning and retaking. The program set covers daily diagnostics well beyond a standard pan: pediatric panoramic, maxillary sinus, four TMJ views, the Orthoradial Panoramic projection to reduce overlap between neighboring teeth, and Shadow Reduction Panoramic. The optional HD cephalometric arm adds orthodontic imaging with soft-tissue display. Images land in Morita's i-Dixel software, which Dental TI integrates with your existing imaging workflow. If your treatment mix later calls for CBCT, the unit upgrades to the Veraviewepocs 3D — you keep the footprint and the workflow you already trained on.

  • Crystal-clear panoramic and cephalometric imaging at low effective dose
  • Digital Direct Auto Exposure (DDAE) sets exposure automatically for each patient
  • Auto Image Enhancer (AIE) software optimizes every capture
  • AF Automatic Positioning with triple lasers — the C-arm aligns to the patient, not the other way around
  • Orthoradial Panoramic projection reduces overlap between neighboring teeth
  • Shadow Reduction Panoramic projection
  • Optional HD cephalometric arm with soft-tissue display
  • Fully upgradeable to the Veraviewepocs 3D

Veraviewepocs 2D questions, answered

Can the Veraviewepocs 2D be upgraded to 3D later?

Yes. The Veraviewepocs 2D is fully upgradeable to the Veraviewepocs 3D, so you can start with excellent panoramic and cephalometric imaging now and add CBCT when your treatment mix justifies it — without replacing the unit or retraining your team.

Does the Veraviewepocs 2D take cephalometric images?

Yes. An optional HD cephalometric arm adds lateral and PA ceph imaging with soft-tissue display — lateral exposures run 4.9 seconds and PA exposures 4.1 seconds.

How does the Veraviewepocs 2D keep patient dose low?

Digital Direct Auto Exposure (DDAE) reads the patient during the scan and sets kV and mA automatically, so each exposure uses only the dose that patient actually needs. The fine high-speed panoramic mode completes in 7.4 seconds.

How hard is patient positioning on this unit?

It is largely automatic. AF Automatic Positioning uses a triple-laser light-beam sensor to align the C-arm to the patient rather than requiring staff to reposition the patient, which cuts retakes and keeps throughput steady even with less experienced operators.
